Deep Dark Confessions by C

I have a confession.

I have a massive crush.
An obsession, really.

You know the feeling you got as a 5th grader when the first boy you thought was cute smiled at you?

Or, as my new favorite nemesis Ke$ha would say, makes my heart beat like an 808 drum?  If I had a basement, I would be all over slumber parties with it.

What is this wanderlust I speak of, you ask?

Office Supply Stores.

Seriously.

It is my candy store and I am an unrestrained kid.  With a credit card and an endless supply of crack staples.

It is something about the smell, and the shiny plastic report covers that make me, well, ahem, happy.

And mutli-colored gel pens, and bright super sticky post-its and I could go on and on.

The worst part?  I am the least organized, messiest accountant known to man.  Ask Gina.  I subscribe to the more papers makes it look like I am busy theory.  Part method to my madness, part where the F did I just put my pen chaos reigns supreme in my world.

Gasping for air under the leaning tower of various SEC filing drafts on my desk are shiny, metallic paperclips and my coveted white-gum eraser.

Because everyone knows the white erasers are far better than the pink school erasers.  Right?

Please, please tell me this happens to other people?

I have to say, I was REALLLLLLYYYYY hoping that post was going to be about Justin Beiber. I'm a little let down.

But I totally get the office supply store obsession. I was like that in high school, bc everyone knows the cool kids have the best supplies. And I have the same organization theory. If shit's all messy & all over the place, it's exactly where I need it to be. It's when my hubs makes me organize shit, that it gets lost. Wow, I said "shit" twice in 1 sentence. This theory however, only applies to my desk. I feel compelled to make sure my house looks like freakin Better Homes & Gardens, bc I love the high I get when someone comes in and says "Wow, you're house is really cute!" or "Your house is so nice! You decorated it well!". And then I act like ohhh it's no big deal, but really inside, I'm like. yeah you better recognize, this ain't easy when there's a 4 year old tornado tearing through every 30 minutes....

I always loved getting new school supplies every year. It was part of the back to school tradition that I loved. It didn't matter that my school supplies from the year before were still perfectly usable. I had to have new supplies.

Sarah, I just don't think I could ever have a crush on Beiber... but stranger things have happened. I also realize that my non-obsession with him puts me at risk of being bludgeoned to death by Bieber Fans. I mean, did you see their reaction to his tweet about Kimmy K?
